Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has called for urgent dissolution of Nigeria. The secessionist leader made this call via a tweet reacting to the opinion of Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara who earlier this week stated that southerners residing in the north should expect no protection if northerners in the south are being killed.
In his tweet on Friday, April 16, 2021, Kanu noted that the ‘’only way the South can respond to this sort of potent THREAT is to make Nigeria’s DISSOLUTION more urgent.’’
He went further to opine that if Nigeria should remain one, it must be of the will of its people, not based on some colonial set up by Lord Lugard, Flora Shaw, or the Nigerian army which he described as ‘’tribalized.’’
